the whole story.

A dyno result is most useful alongside the engine specification, the changes made and the conditions of the test.

PUBLISHED BADGER5 EXAMPLE

Audi S3: camshaft development.

Badger5’s CatCams product page describes an S3 with a 2.0-litre stroker engine and GT35 turbo. It reports 451 bhp and 357 lb ft on standard cams, followed by 564 bhp and 408 lb ft after fitting the featured cams.

This is a historical example published by Badger5, not a promised gain or a result from the current facility. Read the original page for the specification and dyno graph.

OWNER-REPORTED PROJECT

SEAT Leon Cupra R: more than a peak figure.

In a February 2014 Audi-Sport.net account, owner Bigandbald describes a 2004 Leon Cupra R that arrived with an unknown previous remap. The post reports 245 bhp before the work and 275.5 bhp afterwards, alongside improved response.

The account also describes repairs before tuning. These are the owner's historical figures, not independently verified results or a promise of similar gains.

MOTORSPORT PROJECT

Number 13: MINI R53.

Alex Wellings’ supercharged MINI races in the Castle Combe Hot Hatch Championship. Its owner-reported specification includes ECUMaster EMU Black management, a ported head, CatCam 469 and a 19% supercharger pulley, with approximately 260 bhp at the crank.

A motorsport brief is about repeatable performance and usable delivery as well as peak power. This is an owner-provided project overview, not a before-and-after dyno comparison. A dated dyno graph is needed to document any tuning gains.

Fuel, conditions, test method and hardware all affect the result. Before-and-after testing is most useful when the setup is consistent. Peak figures alone do not describe the full torque curve or how the car feels to drive.
